PLANET NINE anticipated the current fascination with off-the-beaten-track cruising. Built for extreme conditions, her imposing profile by Tim Heywood is reminiscent of a military vessel. The interior layout is functional but as elegant as the exterior is rugged.
PLANET NINE is Lloyd’s Register Ice Class 1D and is equipped with dynamic positioning and zero speed stabilizers for comfort at anchor. Her commercially approved helideck, with an enclosed, below-deck hangar and refueling facility, is accessed by a lifting platform for an eight-ton helicopter.
The interior was designed by Tino Zervudachi and custom-built by German luxury outfitter Fitz. Guest accommodations sleep up to sixteen in eight staterooms including the full-beam Owner’s suite, a VIP on the Main Deck and another VIP with a private outside area on the Bridge Deck. An elevator serves all decks.
On the lower deck, the teak paneled Beach Club is designed for use in hot and cold climates. The spa has a foldable bulwark which, when open, becomes a large sunbathing and lounging area on the sea.
With naval architecture by Serim Srl (Alberto Ascenzi) and exterior design by Tim Heywood, this full displacement motor yacht with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure is designed with global cruising in mind and is suitable for sailing in icy conditions.
Powered by twin 2,575hp CAT engines, she has a top speed of 16 knots and cruises at 14 knots with a range of 6,000nm.
Among PLANET NINE yacht’s spectacular features is a beach club with a sea-level steam room, and a fully commercial helipad and hanger built for an Augusta Grand, meaning she can accommodate two helicopters as required.
PLANET NINE’s sun deck comes with a Jacuzzi pool and elevator access, plus she has an observation lounge, which comes into its own when visiting some of the world’s most impenetrable destinations, and a super surround-sound cinema.

With interiors by Mlinaric, Henry & Zervudachi Ltd, who worked closely with the PLANET NINE yacht Owner, this luxury superyacht offers an effortless, breezy environment for adventurous cruises.
Her joinery has been beautifully executed by the highly respected German studio Fitz Interiors, who have worked on other well-known yachts, such as Pelorus, Kogo, Triple Seven and Siren, while sumptuous and unusual fabrics, such as a blend of silk and tweed on the walls in the guest cabins, offer a touch of class.
PLANET NINE yacht can accommodate 16 guests across eight cabins, including an Owner’s suite, which takes over most of the main deck and comes with a library and conference room, and a main deck VIP.
The rest of the guest accommodation comprises a further three King-sized VIPs and three more doubles.
PLANET NINE yacht comes with a 9.72m centre console Rupert RIB and a 6m Limousine Rupert RIB, both of which are stored on the main deck.
A crew RIB is stored in the lower deck garage, while a 5m rescue boat is stored on the foredeck. She also comes with a jet surfboard and a MD600 NOTAR helicopter with seven seats and a helicopter refuelling facility with storage for 9,000 litres of fuel.
